circusnext intends to build an ecosystem for artistic risk-taking, research and experimentation. On an annual basis, circusnext launches a call for projects to identify and support emerging circus authors throughout Europe. Its primary goal is to care for and encourage the development of new generations of creative spirits in the circus sector, who dare to experiment and question the current artistic boundaries. This open call is intended for emerging artists who are currently developing an upcoming circus creation.
circusnext looks for the next generation of the contemporary circus authors. To do so, it launches an open call on a yearly basis. The 2027 edition call is open from January 12 to March 9, 2026.
circusnext Platform is a European programme which identifies and supports emerging circus artists within a network of 24 partner venues across Europe (festivals, creation and touring venues) based in 16 countries. circusnext’s core mission is to identify and support emerging circus authors with original, unusual, and peculiar writings. More than 100 companies have benefitted from circusnext’s action since its creation.
