This festival aims to popularize the awareness and accessibility of a relatively new performing arts branch in Lithuania – contemporary circus. Contemporary circus is the youngest of all performing arts. It combines acting, dance, physical theatre and circus disciplines. This year, from July 9 to 22, “Cirkuliacija” and its creative team invite Kaunas residents and city guests to cross various boundaries: everyday, physical, social. This will be helped not only by the festival program, which includes various workshops, performances, excursions and events for the whole family, but also by the festival’s location – a large pink circus tent will sprout up in one of Kaunas’ districts, Šilainiai, which often no longer fit into the traditional cultural map of Kaunas.
