The 2019 circus town was established on June 13–16 in the Dainavas microdistrict, in the former children’s home “Atžalynas” (Partizanų g. 85). The festival aims to decentralize cultural life in Kaunas and to settle in a different microdistrict of the city every year. In 2019, “Cirkuliacija” called attention to abandoned buildings that could become actively operating community and cultural centers. The former children’s home “Atžalynas” was exactly such a place.
